Rukhsana Koser, who runs Education Lawyers, the education arm of Langley Wellington LLP Solicitors, has been made a Partner at the firm as of January 1st 2022.
Rukhsana was also recently ranked as a Band 3 education solicitor in Chambers and Partners for 2022. She qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and prior to education law, previously specialised in civil litigation, personal injury law and employment law.
While working in educational negligence, in 2002, one of her cases achieved the highest out-of-court settlement against a local authority for failing to diagnose a client’s dyslexia.
From 2003 to 2011 Rukhsana worked for Worcestershire County Council as a Diversity Officer advising the organisation on meeting its legal equality duty under the Equality Act 2010, where she gained invaluable experience of how a Local Authority works.
Rukhsana’s practice at Langley Wellington Education Lawyers is extremely busy but clients note that she is unfailingly compassionate and caring and always keeps the best interest of the child front and centre in her mind.
Rukhsana said:
“I’m delighted and overwhelmed at this vote of confidence from Langley Wellington. I want also to thank my small team of education specialists who work incredibly hard at supporting families, achieving extremely high success rates. We always put the family first and are known for working to find an acceptable solution before Tribunal. Being asked to become a Partner shows how valued the work of the Education Lawyers department is by our firm. This promotion to Partner is a reflection of the efforts of the whole team.”
